Cumberland Cross Country Classic notes

*Please have your transportation drop off and park in the parking lot at the front part of the school, near the Stadium. As you come from Rte 77, this lot is entered through he last drive way.

1.    Coaches are responsible for their students. Please keep them from disrupting races. Be especially cautious in the finishing area.

2.    Please have your runners at the start 10 minutes prior to their race.

3.    The schedule of races is as follows:
HS Boys - 4pm, HS Girls - 4:25, Midd Sch Boys & Girls4:50

4.    Coaches, it is your responsibility to make sure the finish cards your runners receive are turned in to the Results Table, by the Tennis Courts. You may either choose to collect the cards, record names and turn them in, or have your runners report to the tables with their cards.

Please have the cards turned in asap, with the school and the runners name on the card.

5.    The top 20 finishers in each HS race will receive awards. In the Middle School race the top 15 boys and top 15 girls will receive medals. The medals will be handed out at the finish line.

6.    Please note that course maps will be available at the tables by the Tennis Courts. A brief explanation of the course will be given at the finish line area at about 3:20pm by Coach Bagley of CR. The Middle School will be started by Kelli Manski. She will be at the start area right after the Girls HS race begins (the previous race to yours) with maps to go over the course. The MS race will be led by a bicycle rider and there will be course marshals in orange vests at the four turns in the last 1/2 m of the race to help direct your runners to the finish line..

7.    We plan to make Gatorade, water, bananas and snack bars available for a nominal fee. Please let your athletes know in advance so that they won't end up bumming off of you.

9.    Please tell your students not to enter the school building. School Security will not permit entrance.
